Old Florida Festival 


The Old Florida Festival began in 1989 by the Collier County Museum as a way to preserve and protect local traditions and folkways. The annual event is held on the Museum grounds and celebrates 6000 years of South Florida history.


Seminole Indians were pushed into South Florida in the 1700's by English Colonists and American Settlers.
Rein-actors portray various Indian Tribes of the era.
Harsh Northern weather brought pioneers to Old Florida to start anew.
The Telegraph was the only form of communication in 1870's.
From 1942 to 1945, Naples was one of the U.S. Army's training facilities. Thousands of soldiers and pilots trained at the Naples airfield.
